All children can learn and will be successful,... this is the belief of our special education department.

I am honored to serve the students, parents, and staff of the Columbia School District and community as the Director of Special Education. As I tend to the complex issues related to compliance, laws, regulations and special education, I am guided by one key focus -- the children in our district and community in need of special education services.

It is our responsibility as educators to ensure each student is receiving an individualized education program in order to provide a free and appropriate education. We will make data driven decisions that will consistently and effectively transform our student's education. We must work to ensure all of our students are college and career ready in order to prepare them for the world of tomorrow.

I am extremely grateful to the dedicated Columbia staff, volunteers, and community members and leaders who contribute to the education and success of our students by encouraging greatness. There is no limit to what we can achieve.
